David has been very passionate about the attainment of optimal health and human performance for many years. His fascination with the interconnection of the body, mind, and spirit has fueled his pursuit of knowledge in several domains. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and a Master’s in Exercise Physiology/Sport Psychology. After several years working as a strength & conditioning coach, David saw many clients and athletes with recurring injuries and chronic pain due to poor posture, restricted soft tissue, and faulty movement patterns. This inspired him to continue his education in therapeutic massage and bodywork, graduating from the 1000 hour Therapeutic Massage program at the Finger Lakes School of Massage in Ithaca, New York.
David is also a Certified Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and a Holistic Lifestyle Coach through the CHEK Institute. David’s philosophy is to view the body as an integrated system and that optimal health includes physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual harmony. He believes exercise and bodywork are two sides of a coin, a yin/yang relationship that provides a recipe for lifelong vitality and resilience. He seeks to empower clients by educating them on other important lifestyle habits to support their goals such as proper sleep, hydration, stress management, and sustainable nutrition based on a whole foods diet. David considers himself a lifelong learner and is constantly evolving his therapeutic approach to better himself and best serve his clients.
